Letter g
The letter g in Secretary Hand is not too dissimilar to the modern g. The g is distinguishable by the horizontal stroke that forms the top of the chamber 'a flat top - and the descender should curve to the left.

The g is often confused with the letter q. A q will have a rounded top and is likely to have a straight descender or a descender which loops around to join to the next letter as seen below.
