Courance, Lockerby
13th February, 1858

Sir,

I beg to bring to your recollection that it was lately determined, to give this house the name of Beechwood, in the Ordnance map; and as, from particular circumstances, I am now anxious, if it is not too late, to take the name of Elstree, instead of Beechwood, I take the liberty of asking you to oblige me by letting the former be substituted for the latter name, unless to do so would occasion too much.
