of a similar sound. Dol or Dolus would be the word for sorrow or
mourning. It is however a notorious fact that
at each refreshment partakings little sorrow
was wont to be shown therefore the Scotch
Duell which is also in unison with Knowe is
more likely to be the name here. Had it been the
word for sorrow then Knock would have been
applied.
