Was originally the property of the Burgh, but under and Act passed relieving the Burghs from the Maintenance of Prisons, and giving the right of Property of Prisons in all Counties to the County Prison Board, the building in question became the Property of the Prison Board by whom it has been Sold to the County of Stirling; the first Storey Contains a Police Guard Room & Cells, the 2nd Storey Contains the Sheriff and Justice of Peace Court, Sheriff Chambers, and the Witnesses Room, the 3rd Storey Contains the County Police Office and Apartments. |
