Very little information can be obtained regarding it, as it is upwards of 90 years, since the stones were removed to build a dam in the vicinity of Carron. It is believed to have been an ancient Temple dedicated to the God Terminus. which would fix the date of its erection during the time of the Roman occupancy of Britain [continued on page 21] |
