various | The parish of Fodderty is in the Presbytery of Dingwall, Synod of Ross. It is divided into three separate parts, two of which are detached. The principal part of the parish, or Fodderty (Proper) is bounded on the north by the parish of Kiltearn; on the east by the parish of Dingwall; on the south partly by the parish of Dingwall & partly by the parish of Urray; and on the west by the parish of Contin. The eastern portion of this part is in Ross-shire; and the western portion forms a detached part of Cromarty County. The detached portion No. 1 of Fodderty Parish is bounded on the east by the parishes of Urray & Contin; on the north and west by Parish of Urray Detached No. and the Parish of Contin; and on the south by the parish of Kilmorack in Inverness-shire. The detached portion No. 2 is bounded on the north, and north east by the parish of Dingwall; on the west by the parish of Urray; and on the south east by the parish of Urquhart and Logie Wester. There are no detached portions of any parish situated within the parish of Fodderty. |
