088 | An Academy in connection with the Free Church where the higher branches of education are taught by a master. There is attached to this Academy a female school which is endowed 1000 £ having been left by the late Miss Reid of Dingwall to found a female school in connection with the Free Church and also a considerable house property which yields an annual revenue of about 60 £ to maintain the same, girls are educated free up to the age of 8 years. The Rector of the Academy has the supervision of this school. There is an average attendance of about 200 scholars at the Academy and School. It is two storeys high slated and in good repair. |
