065; 066; 077; 078 | The parish of Resolis is in the Prebytery of Chanonory, Synod of Ross. It is bounded on the north and west by the Cromarty Firth; on the south west by the Parish of Urquhart and Logie Wester; on the south east by the parish of Avoch; and on the east by the parish of Cromarty and Cromarty Firth. There are no detached portions of this parish and there are no detached portions of any other parish situated within it. Two portions of the parish of Resolis are in the County of Ross. No. [Number] 1 is situated at the extreme N.E. [North East] point of the parish and it contains the hamlets of Balbair and Newhallpoint, and the farmsteadings of Chapelton and Kirkton. It forms a detached part No. [Number] 1 of the County Ross. It is not known at present if there is any more det. [detached] portions of Ross consequently no number is shown on the Plans to this detd. [detached] portion. The other portion forms part of the main body of the county of Ross and is situated in the South West and belongs to the parish of Resolis adjoining the parish of Urquhart and Logie Wester. |
