014 | A large old mansion house with office houses all in good repair. Attached to it is a small garden and a few acres of arable & wooded demesne land. The property of Lord Sinclair. The mansion, though in good repair and at present occupied is of high though unKnown antiquity. It is five storys high. the base of the outer walls are [8 feet] in thickness. It was formerly surrounded by a strong stone wall having two entrances, a bacK & front one, two small fragments of [these] remain each about 35 links across showing barely both the entrances arched overhead the remainder of it is not traceable nor cannot be pointed out. |
