It is the intention of Captn [Captain]
James R.E. [Royal Engineers] to have the Town
wall of Leith traced &. shewn on plan
when Dry proofs are received
from the O.M.O. [Ordnance Mapping Office] therefore
the site of the first Bastion
is not yet written on plan
as further research will
be made when tracing the
remainder of the wall.
