A Long and very irregular street, Extending from Tolbooth Wynd to the Signal Tower along the side of the Inner Harbour. The houses on the south side of the Street are very old and irregularly formed, the first flats of four are occupied as shop of all descriptions the remaining three are taken up with dwellings for mechanics, and respectable Lodgers, this is one of the longest Streets in Leith. Vessels being Continually loading and unloading on the North West side of it, |
