Continued entries/extra info

invariably describe the pieces of ground let as lying in the "Village of Eaglesfield"
The name "Sunnybrae" should therefore should be left out altogether and also "Smiths Park" on No 1554 of the Sheet, the latter name being almost entirely unknown in the District. Mr Barbour the Schoolmaster has not been long in Eaglesfield and was not a very good authority. But if you would have the goodness to cause any Local Surveyor to visit the place now and call upon Mr Smith, he will have much pleasure in assisting to get the matters referred to rectified.
I am
Sir
Your obedient servant
William Dobbie

To Colonel Cameron RE[Royal Engineers]
Ordnance Survey Office
