The remains of the residence of the Bells of Blackethouse from what still stands it appears to have been a residence only of the 16th century, neither its position, thickness of walls or style of architecture betoken strength, the portion on Trace coloured red has been a stair leading to the top of the building and is still covered and in good preservation. over two of the doorways are the dates 1663 and 1714 with the initials G B I K .
