Transcriber's notes
While the Church was built in 1842, there was a previous building erected in 1774 on this site, using many of the stones from an older Church sited at the Bass. The Church had been in existence at this site for less than 100 years.

Ordnance Survey - Aberdeen county
Ordnance Survey was established in the 18th century to create maps, surveys and associated records for the entirety of Great Britain. These records are arranged by county. This entry has been created to enable searching for Ordnance Survey records for the county of Aberdeen, which is in the north east of Scotland. The boundaries of the county were altered by the Boundary Commissioners in 1891.
