108 | This name Signifies "Stream of the Fox" and is applied to a Stream having its Source about a 1/4 of a mile W [West] of the West End of "Beinn Donuill" it flows Southwards and Enters the "River Evelix" at the E [East] end of "Loch an Lagain" this Stream is the Ph. [Parish] Boundary between the Ph. [Parish] of Dornoch and Ph. [Parish] of Creich. Means "Burn of the old shieling". The Examiner here collected the wrong meaning which was turned into a wrong Gaelic name meaning "Burn of the Fox"- Amended discription after altering name at the Exhibition of boundaries at Golspie 22. 23 Jan.
