056 | A small patch of Arable land enclosed on one side by a fence and one the remaining sidesby wood it is situated on the side of Kirkdominae Hill, but the itself is quite level, an annual Fair was held here from 1691- from the time of the destruction of the Church - up to 1851, it is discontinued at this date in consequence of its having become ob??ious to the inhabitants of the surrounding district. The ruin of Kirk dominae stands on this piece of ground, And it is probable that previous to the demolition of the Church, it formed a portion of the Glebe Land, although tradition is silent on the subject. |
