The Northern portion of Gabhsunn or Galston Villige in which are two slated houses in good repair, the others are all built of peat sods and stone, and thatched with straw. There is a large tract of good arable, and a small portion of moorland attached to it - the road leading from Stornoway to Ness leads though it. |

A small but tolerably rapid river, which flows out of Loch Dubh Thurtail through the village of Galston into the Sea near Galston Farm house. It is shallow and Contains but few Trout. |
