062 ; 073 ; 074 ; 085 | The parish of Auchtergaven is in the presbytery of Dunkeld, Synod of Perth and Stirling. Patron, the Crown. A small neighbouring parish, called Logiebride, has been annexed to Auchtergaven; but no account can be had of the time when this annexation took place, either from tradition, or from the records of Presbytery. The people residing in the district that belonged to Logiebride parish, however, still continue to bury in the churchyard of Logiebride; and is used as a burying ground by the family of Tullybelton. The parish of Auchtergaven is bounded on the north and north west by the parish of Little Dunkeld, and the detached portion of Methven parish; on the south west and south, by Monzie detached No. 3, Redgorton Detached and the parishes of Monedy, Redgorton, and St. Martins; and on the east, by the parishes of Cargill, and Kinclaven. The detached portion of this parish is situated between the parishes of Methven and Monedy.
