[Continuation and extracts referred to on page 39, regarding Kinnoull Church:]

The former church of Kinnoull rebuilt in 1779 accommodated only 400 sitters and although
in 1795, the last incumbent complains that even then it was "too small", it continued down
to the year 1826 without addition or enlargement, + + +
In that year however, the present handsome and spacious structure in the Gothic style
from a plan of Mr Burn was erected within a few hundred yards of the old one at an
expense of about £4000.

Sir Robert Erskine Lord of Erskine and great Chamberlain of Scotland in the reign Robert
Bruce gave in pure alms to the monastery of Cambuskenneth the patronage of the church of
Kinnoull with some Lands lying in Strathern, + + +
The monastery always presented rector or person who in consequence received the
rectory tithes or at least a part of them as he could agree with the monastery.
The Patron Saint of the church of Kinnoull was St. Constantine
January 4th 1518-19 John Watson burgess of Edinburgh Sold to his beloved cousin Mr. James Davidson
Chaplain of the altar of St. Ninian within the parish church of St. Constantine a house and
garden in Perth
N.B. Constantine III King of Scotland became a Monk among the Culdees at St.
Andrews. He is denominated Monk and Martyr in the Scottish Calendar and his anniversary
was celebrated on the 11th day of February
