Parish of Muckart - Sheet 128 No13 Trace 4
The popular name of this village is "Pool of Muckart" but
the Post Mistress in the village States that very few letters are
addressed "Pool of Mukart" by far the greater part are
addressed simply "Muckart" and the post Stamp is all
Muckart. The minister also states that all his correspondence
with the secretary of the post office and others are "Muckart"
and he would recommend to write the village name Muckart, but Colloquial usage is entirely against this

Ordnance Survey - Perth county
Ordnance Survey was established in the 18th century to create maps, surveys and associated records for the entirety of Great Britain. These records are arranged by county. This entry has been created to enable searching for Ordnance Survey records for the county of Perth, which is in central Scotland. The boundaries of the county were altered by the Boundary Commissioners in 1891.
