You were requested to supply
Authorities for the parish name Gask
or Findogask and you have sup-
plied three but you have not given
the parish Minister the Sessions Clerk
nor any one of the parochial Registers
Now the Minister and parochial
Registers should not be omitted
in the Authorities for the parish name
therefore as this name is written diffe
rently as given above you will supply
the Authorities and where there is a
different mode of spelling the name in
the Register give the date of it.

and both state, that in all
official communications, or
documents connected with
the parish, it is written "Findo-
"Gask"; but "Gask", is the name by
which it is most frequently
designated by those residing
in the locality of the parish.
The Schoolmaster, who is
the Parish Registrar and Session
Clerk; states, that Findo-Gask
is written on all the parish
records - Such as the Register
General's documents, Sheriff's
communications, and, on all
parochial papers &c &c.
