| Site of DRUMMOND CROSS | Site of Drummond Cross | Alexander Monteath, Esqr. Thomas Soutar, Esqr. Mr Robert Arnott |
095 | The site where Drummond Cross formerly stood is in High Street a little to the west of the Jail. Tradition says it was the Cross of the Burgh of Drummond and that it was set up here about A.D. 1688 where it remained until 1746 when it was taken down and placed in the dungeon of the tolbooth. It now stands close to the Jail. It is about 10 feet in height, its transverse sections being each six inched long. It has a coronet worked out in alto relievo on its centre. |

Ordnance Survey - Perth county
Ordnance Survey was established in the 18th century to create maps, surveys and associated records for the entirety of Great Britain. These records are arranged by county. This entry has been created to enable searching for Ordnance Survey records for the county of Perth, which is in central Scotland. The boundaries of the county were altered by the Boundary Commissioners in 1891.
