095 | This building was erected in 1849 by the Revd [Reverend] Alexander Lendrum, principal of the college, for the education of young ladies connected with the Episcopal Church. A short time ago this establishment was purchased by Bishop Gilles of Edinburgh. It is unoccupied at present, but it is understood that it will soon be re-opened as a college for the education of young men for priesthood. The buildings are large and commodious, two storeys, and in good repair. |
