107 | This name is given to a mortification school in the district of Kirbister. It was founded and endowed to the amount of £700 by a Magnus Twatt. The above endowment is simply intended for the education of children whose parents are residing within the bounds of the district of Kirbister. The heirs of the above Magnus Twatt are endeavouring to have it disendowed as the education Act of parliament has built a school without the bounds of the afore mentioned district consequently this school must cease to exist. There is a good average attendance. |
