It extends quite across the isthmus of the eastern peninsula of the mainland, so as to be bounded on the north and south by the Sea; and it is bounded on the west by the parishes of Firth & Orphir; and on the east by the parishes of St Andrews & Holm. This parish is the seat of a presbytery in the synod of Orkney. There is no detached part of this parish locally situated within the boundary of any other parish, nor is there any detached part of any other parish locally situated within the boundary of this one. It contains about 11620 Statute Acres. |
