032.04 | A flat round patch of pasture elevated about 2 feet above a broad ditch which nearly surrounds it. There are several old fir trees on it. Nothing of its history is known in the locality. It is called the Mote The ditch is perhaps artificial, but has never been constructed for defensive purposes, the circumference is too small, and the position altogether unfavourable for a fort.
