In the first part of its course it is called Earnock Burn, after which it bears the name of "Wellshaw Burn", from the Lands of Millhall (about "Allanshaw", xvii-3 Trace 6) until it enters Park Burn on Trace 1 xi-15. The distinctive names of this Burn & may easily be recognised by persons of either neighborhood. |
