017.03 | A circular Water Tank or small reservoir into which the main pipe from the "Hamilton Water Tank" (xvii-6 Trace 6) empties itself, & is carried by other pipes, from this tank, to the town of Hamilton. It is called a Distributing Tank from the main pipe to the Town having several branch pipes to different parts of the Burgh of Hamilton. It is 13 feet deep & by the quantity in this the number of cubit feet contained in the reservoir, at the "Water Works", is known. |
