It is navigable for vessels of 70 tons burden to a place called Parkmaclurg & on certain occasions when loaded with lime they penetrate as far up as the place for the accommodation of the farmers of the locality. but their chief place of landing is at a Small quay in Carty Loop the tide runs up as far as the late Admiral McKerlie's. |
