Various | An united parish in the presbytery of Mull and Synod of Argyll. It comprises the three districts of Ardmeanach, Brolas, and Ross of Mull. and also the islands Iona, and Inch= =kenneth and contains the post office villages of Iona and Bunessan. It is bounded on the north by Loch na Keal which separates it from the parish of Kilninian & Kilmore; on the east by the parish of Torosay and its boundary every where else is the Atlantic Ocean. Its length with= in Mull in an east north easterly direction is about 22 miles and its greatest breadth is about 12 miles. The parish in general presents a very barren aspect; part of it is flat but the greater part of it is hilly and adapted for grazing. The shores of the parish may be called bold and rocky throughout almost their whole extent. There are two parochial churches the one at Kilfinichen and the other at Bunessan, Ross of Mull. There are no detached parts of this parish locally situated in any other over. |

Note "Kilvickeon" is commonly spelt "Kilvickeon", my opinion however is that the most correct way of spelling it is "Kilviceuen" (Signed) Archibald Campbell Minister of the Parish

Ordnance Survey - Argyll county
Ordnance Survey was established in the 18th century to create maps, surveys and associated records for the entirety of Great Britain. These records are arranged by county. This entry has been created to enable searching for Ordnance Survey records for the county of Argyll, which is in the west of Scotland. The boundaries of the county were altered by the Boundary Commissioners in 1891.
