[Statistical Account] "The old burial ground of St Catherine is laudably preserved Surrounded by a rude Stone wall and overshadowed by a few trees." (Memorials of Angus and Mearns P.[Page] 87). "While the Earls Marischal had other crofts together with the advowson of the Chapel of St Catherine, and the liberties &c of the burgh of Kincardine" (Memorials of Angus & Mearns P. [Page] 86) There are no remains of a Chapel to be seen, but Sir J.S. Forbes considers that it Stood very near the burying ground. The burying ground is Surrounded by a Stone wall inside of which is placed a row of trees. |
