020.03 | On the farm of West Mondynes and in a field called Monk's Park, adjoin'g [adjoining] the Castle-hill, some 15 years since while the farmer was employed trenching a natural mound, he came upon a Cist; the sides, and lid of which, were composed of rude slabs of freestone; and the gravel formed the bottom. The Cist measured about 4 1/2 feet in length and about 3 feet wide; fragments of bones, and a great quantity of burnt ashes, were found inside the cist. |

The cist measured about 6 feet in length and 3 feet broad; in it was found a complete Skeleton lying at full length. The farmer supposes, the body, to have been that of a young man or woman. The Cist was covered up and the remains allowed to rest. |
