Mr. Fraser, Abertarff, Crown House Mr. Suter, Church St. [Street] Inverness. |
012 | At the eastern point of the eminence called the Crown, half a mile eastward of Inverness Macbeth's Castle is said by tradition to have stood. That a castle has stood here there can be very little doubt for within the remembrance of persons living fragments of a Castellated building and also stone Coffins or urns have been dug up upon the spot here mentioned. The date at which the stone coffins or urns were found cannot be ascertained. |

Ordnance Survey - Inverness county
Ordnance Survey was established in the 18th century to create maps, surveys and associated records for the entirety of Great Britain. These records are arranged by county. This entry has been created to enable searching for Ordnance Survey records for the county of Inverness, which is in the north of Scotland. The boundaries of the county were altered by the Boundary Commissioners in 1891.
