The translation referring to'notched cow' is in fact literal. Eagaich means notched, hacked or marked. The name is not listed on the names associated with Sheet 89 but does appear on the map sheet.
The reference to the final examiner is below the second 'Allt na Leirg Gruamaich' entry, and refers top the extensive corrections of name and spelling.
