Boleskine & Abertarff Parish County Inverness
[Note under the name "BEITH OG" in the List of Names column]
Roman Print
[Pencil notes pertaining to the name "CAOCHAN NAN SAC" in the List of Names Column]
Caoachan Lueld
This name was given
to me wrong on making further enquires
about it I find it is Caochan
nan Sac or the Stream of
the Loads. The hills here are
very wild, and a person
may walk them for a Month
without even meeting with
a Shepherd _ So it is very difficult
to get the correct names.

Ordnance Survey - Inverness county
Ordnance Survey was established in the 18th century to create maps, surveys and associated records for the entirety of Great Britain. These records are arranged by county. This entry has been created to enable searching for Ordnance Survey records for the county of Inverness, which is in the north of Scotland. The boundaries of the county were altered by the Boundary Commissioners in 1891.
