The Revd. [reverend] Wm. [William] McIntosh was Roman Catholic Priest at Arisaig when that Parish was examined and I was referred to him as being the best Gaelic Scholar in that District, in consequence thereof he was consulted as regards all Gaelic names collected by me in that District.
