With regard to the spelling of the hill "Am Fros-bheinn" questioned by Mr H Blackburn, I beg to state that Mr Robertson Esqr. Kinlochmoidart House , by Fort William, Inverness-shire, N. B. [North Britain, i.e. Scotland]is part owner of this Hill, (and as far as I remember of the principal part) Mr H Blackburn owns the North face and has a residence at the foot of this hill, which he calls Roshven.
Mr. Robertson is my principal authority for this name, which he wishes to be written in its Gaelic form and not Roshven [underlined] which is the Anglicized form, the meaning given for this hill is "Hill of the Showers" which interpreted in Gaelic is "Am Fros-bheinn", as
