The date of its erection is unknown but it was first built and used as a Roman Catholic chapel and at the Reformation was converted into a protestant Ph. [Parish] church. In 1631 it was thoroughly repaired and had an Aisle and low spire added to it by a, Sir John Sinclair. It has an accommodation of 478 sittings and has an appointed minister to it. |
