Stone Cross [Ormiston] [note] "It is said that a religious house stood at some remote period
immediately on the north side of the place where a stone cross at present
stands, near the centre of the village, but whether it was a chapel, a nunnery
or a convent, could not be ascertained nor could any one be met with
ho could give any information concerning this regions house."
