It is often necessary
for the purposes of the Ornance
Survey to maKe particular re-
search respecting antiquities,
names of objects, &c. For this
purpose I taKe the liberty
to refer to you for information
respecting some objects in the
parish of Haddington, and
will feel thanKful for
any information you can af-
ford me relating to the objects
enquired.
By reference to the pub-
lished accounts of the parish
of Haddington, it appears that
that the parish church was Called
St Mary's Church. but it also
appears that the present parish
church is a part of the church
of a monastery of minorite Friars.
