Milton Village
July 19th. /58

Sir
Mr. Scott of Carnegie in this
parish (Carmyllie) states
that a Castle once stood
on his farm, near to the
present dwelling house,
several of the [tre--] stones of it
are to be seen built into
his outbuildings. He
calls the castle, "Carnegie
Castle"
Are you of opinion that a
castle once stood here, and
is Mr. Scott correct in
designating it Carnegie
Castle?
Will you be kind enough
to forward me any in
formation you can respecting it

A. Jervise Esq:

Ordnance Survey - Angus county

Ordnance Survey was established in the 18th century to create maps, surveys and associated records for the entirety of Great Britain. These records are arranged by county. This entry has been created to enable searching for Ordnance Survey records for the county of Angus, which is in the east of Scotland. The boundaries of the county were altered by the Boundary Commissioners in 1891.
