008 | Two farm yards on the west side of the great North Road and distant from it by about 30 chains. The Northern farm yard and dwelling house is occupied by Mr John Ireland, proprietor Adam Low Wardlaw, and the southern is the property of the Rev. [Reverend] Alexander Burt at present occupied by Mr. William Henderson. The name of these farm yards, or farm town as they are termed here is usually spelled thus Easter Fordel but the Rev. [Reverend] Alexander Burt informed me that in the Title Deeds relating thereto it is written as supplied which is the reason why the deviation is made. |

Ordnance Survey - Fife and Kinross counties
Ordnance Survey was established in the 18th century to create maps, surveys and associated records for the entirety of Great Britain. These records are arranged by county. This entry has been created to enable searching for Ordnance Survey records for the counties of Fife in the east of Scotland and Kinross in central Scotland. The boundaries of these counties were altered by the Boundary Commissioners in 1891.
