The late Mr. Small in his Roman Antiquities endeavours to prove that a Roman Fort was on Lustielaw but it is evident that he has been describing Cairn Geddes as several respectable inhabitants still living were eye witnesses to his proceedings when he had the cairn opened for the purposes of discovery on the other hand he has has not been known to investigate in any way at or near the fair ground at Lustielaw hence, it is probable that he has named Lochelbank Hill Lustielaw through mistake or it may be that he considered the hills from Blairsturie S.W. [South West] to Berry Hill to be the Lustielaw but he was decidedly wrong - turn over...
