A Small Stream having its source in Loch Gelly and flowing in an Easterly direction to Shaws Mill thence in a northerly through the Den or Carden Den from which it derives its name to the Water of Ore at Carden Mill. At Cardenbrank a small branch goes off on the West Side and runs nearly paralel. This branch is known by the name Gelly Burn perhaps from leeches being found in it. |
