031 | [situation] 1¾ Miles N. [North] of Lochgelly village. A middling Size Arable hill on the farms of Inchgall Mill and South Pitkinny. It is traditionally reported that the Romans fought a battle here, but the exact spot cannot be pointed out where it occurred, it is vaguely Supposed to have been at a rude heap of Stones on the west side of the hill where human bones have been found. The Cairn is on Plan 31A. |
