It is bounded on the north by the Parishes of Dyke & Moy and Rafford, on the East by Dallas and Forres, on the South by Dallas & Cromdale Inverallan and Advie and on the West by Dyke & Moy and Arclach Co. [County] Nairn. The Parish of Edinkillie is situated in the County of Elgin, and contains about 32.904 statute acres There are no detached portions on the Parish of Edinkillie in this or any other county there are 2 portions of Ardclach Co.[County] Nairn within its limits, Edinkillie is a pastoral Parish, not mountainous, the highest hill has an elevation of 1000 feet there are extensive woods & plantations and some very romantic scenes along the Rivers Findhorn and Divie Ardclach Det [detached] No. 1 contains 750 Acres.
