Parish of Dyke & Moy -- County of Elgin

Culbin Sandhills (Shifting Eastwardly)
The Site of those Sand hills are said to have been at one time a valuable Estate named Culbin, with a village Situated on it near to the present farm of Binsness, until the Sand commenced to drift over it when the village was deserted and the Estate and house through course of time became completely buried in this Sand so that there is no trace of them left.
