012 | About 1 and five-eighths miles south-south-west of Woodhouselee. The site of an ancient Druidical temple on the farm of House of Muir. The present minister of the parish and his brother, say that they remember seeing it before being demolished. The track of it is yet visible and two stones remain yet which were not removed. One of those is to be seen in the fence which crosses the site. The circle was about -- feet in diameter and the stones forming the circle were 3 or 4 feet high. "There were a few years ago, the very perfect remains of a Druidical temple on an eminence on Mr. McNiel's property close upon the high road near Marchwell. It formed a circle of large stones placed near each other forty feet in diameter. Lately however they have been heedlessly broken and removed to build a wall which now runs through the middle of it."
