012 | About 1½ miles south-west by south of Woodhouselee. The site of this battle is shown on a hollow portion of ground on the farm of Rullion Green. It was fought on the 28th of November 1666 between the Covenanters and the Royal Troops under the command of Dalzell of Bins. The Covenanters were dispersed with many of their number killed. |
