Transcriber's notes

The entries showed editing and words crossed out. A large 'a' at the start of a sentence was routinely crossed out and 'A' substituted. Mis-spelling of chiefly as cheifly in crossed-out Description Remarks.

Cleughheadshaw Wood and Cleughheads Shaw-wood were crossed out as modes of spelling CLEUCH-HEADS SHAW.

Designation of Wood Footer for David Johnstone might seem unlikely, but literally it would be a person who goes on foot in the woods and maybe in use at the time!

Interesting that although the Modes of Spelling were unanimously Cleughheads, the names written in List of Names were always CLEUCH-HEADS!
Each of the names in List of Names has been ticked.

Some letters from the names under List of Names on the far left of the image have been missed in the scan but are easily deduced.
